Brief History
Family Church of God was founded in 1998 by Pastor Jean R Chery. The church started with 12
members and now has over 150 active members, and approximately 10,000 people attending Sunday services each year.
Our congregation began in the home of one of our members, then relocated to a basement space at the Methodist Church of 130 Broad Street, New London CT from 1998 – 2002.
We purchased our first church at 80 Jefferson Avenue, New London, CT and ministered to that community from 2002-2007.
In 2007, we relocated to our current location at 63 Church St, Norwich CT where we continue our work to preach the Gospel around the world.
